I have two dogs and a laboratory of a well and a cat. Anyone have tips for traveling 3000 miles? We are driving from west to east coast. I have a large wire cage for the cat to ride in the back of my Durango and I plan on making the dogs and the ease with some bedding. What else I can do for my animals?
Hello there! I travel a lot with my dogs. I always make sure I have plenty of water and food for them. My dogs are easily upset stomach, so I always bring my water. When drinking water can cause stomach upset others there. Always make sure they have comfortable bedding as well. Make sure that you will not get hot or cold. I always carry first aid equipment. Here is an article I found with some great tips for pets. Good luck and best wishes! Driving: Make sure to stop destinations are "pet" when driving is crucial! 1.) If you plan to travel across the border of any county, state, or even a country, research the laws and make sure you have proper documentation practice of presenting the checkpoint stops, border patrols, and / or police in case youâ € ~ re arrested for any reason. Sure your pet is properly vaccinated and licensed where you are traveling from. If you are moving to a new area, do not worry about your pet not allowed yet. As long as your pet is registered where it travels from, they are legal. Just make sure your pet is properly vaccinated according to the country he or she is traveling. 2.) Your pet should always be on a leash outside the car! Obviously you have to stop at rest stops several times a day. At stops in most others, there will be signs, provided that you are directed to designated "pet walk" areas. Even if you think your pet never leaves his side, he or she on a leash. That is the law in most places. You never know what your pet is able at all times, especially when animals are present others. And, given the fact that they are in an unfamiliar place, which can be even more protective of you or defense, possibly even freer because in uncharted territory. You know your pet better than anyone, but keep in mind that still have animal instincts unpredictable if an animal domesticated or not!

In your opinion, which is better boarding pets or getting a pet-sitter?
I was wondering which one everyone thought was better for dogs, cats, and rabbits. I am going on vacation next year in July and are preparing early. I have 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 7 bunnies. I was also wondering if to board my bunnies at $3 a day per bunny was a good deal ($21 a day = $168 total.) Thank you for yur opinion!!! We are going on vacation 8 days.
The obvious advantage of hiring a Pet Sitter is having the bunnies stay in a familarenvironment, this wont stress them out or cause any stress realted side effects. Also if you get someone to pet sit your bunnies you can pay them as much or as little as you like. You could use a friend or family or sometimes you can hire professionals.
However, boarding your bunnies mean you have trhe peace of mind that someone will remember to feed them and give them fresh water. However, they might not get the attention they want, because of all the other animals being housed they wont be able to play with your bunnies each day, while getting a pet sitter might have the time too.
