I need to bring my Pekingese dog to Germany, since I am going to be stationed here for 3 years (US Army). What’s the best way to do this (my vet said that he can’t ride cargo cuz he’s pug nosed)? Will he have to go into quarantine? What are the requirements to bring him back into the USA? Will he have to go into quarantine when he gets back to the USA?
I would appreciate any advice from anyone who has experience with this. Thank you.
first you have to provide proof of vaccination at customs. within the last 12 months. germany will not allow cross bred, or fighting dogs into the country. type in” germany animal quarantine” into your search engine, it will provide the answers for you. the airlines will not make the dog ride cargo, but it will have to be in a proper kennel.

My 5 lb chihuahua and I are trying to fly from kansas to wither london heathrow or into southhampton since I have my visa and he just got his pet passport OK’ed meaning he is done with the quarantine period etc….
