Dotson dogs are a lot more commonly recognized as Dachshunds and are a low maintenance addition to any household. They’re known for their long body set on four short legs and many of you may have heard them referred to like a “wiener dog”. If your interested in owning one of these lively animals; you’ve your choice between a miniature Dotson (approximately 12 -14 inches from floor to top of head and weighs less than 12 pounds) and full grown Dotson dogs(14 - 17 inches from floor to top of head and can weigh up to 30 pounds).
The Dotson is perfect for kids as it’s friendly, loves to play for hours on end and relatively harmless as a consequence of their size and pet health. Even though they’re little, they’re extremely protective and loyal toward their families, and will usually bark loudly to warn you of visitors or intruders.
The Dotson dogs comes in three types of hair style: short, long and wirehair. A brief hair will supply you with the benefit of very little shedding. The long haired Dotson has hair that’s sleek, with a length of 3 or 4 inches. Wire hair Dotson dogs have two layers of fur: fine hair on the belly, with thicker dense hair about the rest of its body (the wire hair is really a genetically bred mix of the short and lengthy hair).
Lastly, these animals make for perfect travel companions and are well-suited to apartment-sized environments on account of their little stature. Their little size allows them to handle hot vacation travel in your car, while their pet health care hair keeps them perfectly warm for cold winter drives to the ski lodge. They do not require a terribly large environment to keep them happy, the simply concern is making certain you don’t accidentally step on them as they could be hard to see when exiting a room in your home.
